Dan filming the Jezreel Valley - Valley of Armegeddon 

We had another great day! We began the day filming in the Yavne'el Valley. It is a beautiful valley with a striking level plain. It was the perfect spot to film our program, Jesus' Sermon on the Plain, as recorded in Luke chapter 6. The program focused on a comparison of this "sermon" with Matthew's Sermon on the Mount.

After this, we returned to our B&B for a quick bite of lunch. Then it was off to the ancient remains of Arbel. There is an ancient synagogue there, so we spent a good deal of time collecting some nice footage. After this, we made our way through the Swiss Forrest, overlooking the Sea of Galilee. We filmed an Insights from the Journeys of Jesus program while there.


 

Our day then continued with a drive to Mt. Tabor, which overlooks the Jezreel Valley, also known as the Valley of Armegeddon (Har Megiddo in Hebrew). Then it was back to the area of Porriyah to collect some additional footage for the program, Jesus' Sermon on the Plain.

So, a full day of filming. We will now head out for a bite of dinner and then return to pack up. We will spend a few hours tomorrow morning collecting some final footage in the area. Then we will begin our trip back to Jerusalem. We will worship tomorrow evening at King of Kings Community, where we attended while we lived in Jerusalem. This will be our first service back at the congregation and we look forward to seeing our friends!
