Michelle & Daniel from Arbel at Sunset

Once more the day began early and we departed our guest house shortly after sunrise. We arrived at Susita a little after 7am to film Jesus' Journey to the Other Side. In this program we talked about Jesus leaving the area that He most often ministered in and, along with His disciples, took a boat to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. On His way there, a fierce storm arose and the disciples---seasoned fishermen---thought they were going to die! We know the rest of the story! We also talked about the 2 demoniacs that greeted Him upon His arrival.

Michelle on Susita's Ancient StreetAfter their healing, their testimony would spread to the Decapolis, and that's why we chose Susita to be our setting for this episode. It gives a beautiful view of the lake that we hope you'll enjoy!

Afterwards, we were quite hungry! We decided to eat a big meal around 1:30pm and eat a light dinner later. We stopped at an "Oriental" (in this part of the world it means "Middle Eastern") restaurant that we've passed for many years but had never stopped at. I couldn't resist posting a picture of all the 12 salads they give you along with your meal! Yes, we have leftovers in the mini-fridge!

Tomorrow we will wrap up our Galilee programs, with the rest of our programs to be filmed in and around Jerusalem next week. In tomorrow's final Galilee program, Dan will speak about The Sermon on the Plain. We spent some time this afternoon searching for the perfect spot to film from.

Thanks for keeping up with the Israel Filming Project! We hope you'll join us again tomorrow! Until then.....Lehitra'ot!
