Nazareth panorama - Brow of Hill on left and Church of Annunciation on right and Jezreel Valley in background

We started our day with an early drive to Nazareth.  We arrived to our filming spot at about 6:45am.  We then began filming our program, The Great Announcement.  We encountered a bit of a challenge on today's shoot, as there was considerable cloud cover throughout the morning. So, we had to delay the filming for well over an hour.  We were able to complete the program at around 11:30am.  Our location, from the Mt. of Precipice, gave us a great overlook of modern Nazareth and the Church of the Annunciation.

We then made the short trip to Cana in order to lock down a filming location for an upcoming program.  We found a great spot that overlooks the valley in which Cana sits.  After shooting some various footage in the area, we made our way back to our guest house at Arbel.

We will spend the evening here preparing for tomorrow afternoon's program, Sinful Men Wanted: The Calling of the Disciples.  Prior to filming this program, we will head south to the Decapolis city of Bet Shean in order to collect some video footage.  Bet Shean is one of the most well-preserved spots in the land.  We will have to get there early due to the fact that Bet Shean is one of the hottest and most humid spots in Israel!  We had planned on filming there on Thursday, but due to more pressing scouting needs, decided to delay the visit.

Thanks for visiting with us today.  We hope you'll join us again tomorrow as our Israel Filming Project continues.  Take care and we'll see you then.
